"Digital Economy Forum 2025"
On the morning of 11 March, 2025, the General Secretariat of the Digital Economy and Business Committee (DEBC) sponsored by CBRD Fund organized “Digital Economy Forum 2025” at Oakwood Premier Phnom Penh. The event was presided by H.E. Dr. Kong Marry Secretary of State of Ministry of Economy and Secretary General of the General Secretariat of the Digital Economy and Business Committee and H.E. Keo Sothie, Secretary of State of Ministry of Ministry of Post and Telecommunications. The Digital Economy Forum 2025 is organized for four main objectives: 1) Promote the dissemination of knowledge about digital technologies, skills and the importance of embracing digital in the era of the digital economy, (2) Increase the sharing of ideas, innovations and new experiences related to the digital economy, (3) Promote the building of networks and business and digital economy communities in Cambodia. The Digital Economy Forum 2025 will feature five presentations and four panel discussions focusing on the overall vision of the digital economy and society, digital transformation for enterprises, digital literacy and skills for enterprises, cybersecurity, data protection, digital assets, and digital payments. Each presentation will provide a foundation for a lively discussion and will receive valuable input from keynote speakers and attendees. The Digital Economy Forum was held with the objectives of (1) promoting the dissemination of knowledge about digital technologies, skills and the importance of digitalization in the digital economy era, (2) increasing the sharing of new ideas, innovations and experiences related to the digital economy, and (3) promoting the building of networks and business communities and the digital economy in Cambodia. The Digital Economy Forum 2025 consisted of five presentations and four discussions focusing on the overall aspects of the digital economy and society, digital transformation for enterprises, digital literacy and skills for enterprises, cybersecurity, data protection, digital assets and digital payments. Each presentation provided the basis for a lively discussion and received important inputs from the distinguished speakers and participants. H.E. Dr. Taing Nguon Ly, Director General of the General Department of Digital Economy, who was invited to deliver the closing remarks. As a result, the forum had a total of 256 participants on day 1 and 148 on day 2, and concluded smoothly by providing a platform that generated discussions on the digital economy.
